UNFORTUNATELY.....I planned last minute to go with my friends to a movie called "2012". Waste of money!! The only thing that I went was I was very curious to know about the things that would be shown regarding that year(Post for that after this)
If you have seen a single advertisement for 2012, you know what this movie is. I’m not saying you know the plot (as if it mattered) or anything like that. You know that the world ends in a spectacular fashion and all you have to do then is extend that out to 2 ½ hours and you have a movie that is completely boring to the point of exhaustion.
The real tragedy is this: 2012's production cost an estimated $200-odd million dollars. What's worse, it'll probably make that money back, spawning a sequel called 2013. I hope...the director spares us that horror!!
And if this movie turns out to be an accurate vision of our future, then at least our cell phones will work no matter how little of the Earth remains, planes will be so easy to fly that someone with only two flying lessons can co-pilot a cargo plane, and our cars and even our campers will have the handling to make razor sharp turns.
With such an exciting world, it’s a shame that the neutrinos in our planet’s core change so that the entire crust of our planet shifts. I wonder....how the Mayan's knew about this??
Overall...I would rate the movie 1/5...ONLY BECAUSE OF the great effects and...just because...they have shown the destruction of U.S.A?? :)
lolz!..I didn't know that the movie was that bad! And I was actually planning of watching the movie...and after reading your review...I don't really think its a great idea to go for it :P
ReplyDeleteDude thats whats called imagination, if u really really didn't understand!! What the hell then did you expect from this movie??..Huh?? Did u expect some old crackpot to come n give a solution to all the neutrinos stuff?? or u expected them to show the hero die while saving his family??!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way the film WILL surely make all its money back, and for us and a few people like you who will be conveniently ignored, will be a triumph for sure!!
This movie has surely shown what it wanted to show to the people!! Don' you think that it has only portrayed what the people fear?? And just tell me.. are all the movies that are made, are made to make you feel good after watching it?? Nah!! I don't think so!!
And i'l answer your insignificant reference to the piloting thing... i betcha ud be doing the same things, probably better more or less when about a thousand tonnes of concrete is chasing your ass and threatning to crush you underneath!!
The neutrinos theory is really one of the possible explanations of the so-called Judgement Day, however, you cannot predict the exact date!! But if it really has a scientific base why are you still ignorant and adamant about all this and let it happen if it is going to happen!! What say??
And by the way i liked your last paragraph!! All in all i'd give it a 3,1/2 out of 5 for the special effects of course and also for giving us an idea hoe bad the day could be!! LOL!!
Well...ojas....agreed...your point of view....after all u make movies for entertainment....maybe I HATED the movie...because I ream a bit from net about what could really happen in 2012.
ReplyDeleteAs I said in my blog....I am currently researching a bit for that post...hopefully will be ready by next week.But as compared to this movie I would be happy to watch Independence day or The day after tomorrow.
And....as for the last paragraph. I just wish...they could have shown the destruction of that country in detail...just kidding! :P
